August

Gosh time is racing by and we are in August already.  We are just back from the brilliant trade fair –  Life InStyle Melbourne and are eagerly awaiting our next shipment so we can send out all our lovely baskets. It was a real joy to reconnect with many of our long term clients and a bonus to meet many new ones. With so much uncertain news and talk in the retail world it was great to be seeing our supportive clients again and be doing face to face orders. We feel strongly that our baskets are an essential part of every day living and it was lovely to see this reflected in the comments from our stockists.

Baskets of the Month

Kids baskets are a great way of getting children into basket life. It is so cute for kids to have their own baskets and mini me with their parents.  These small woven baskets are also handy for storing  food or other items around the house. Pop over to our shop for these great little baskets. https://2ducktrading.com.au/product/baby-basket-with-sisal-handles/

April

Incredible that we are almost at Easter and Autumn has well and truly arrived. Sadly, our most favourite Easter market the Burrawang Village Fair had to be cancelled due to the heavy rains making the roads and parking area in the village unusable. We had been so looking forward to this event.  On the very bright side for us, at 2 duck, we will shortly be off  to France and our little house for a much anticipated reunion.

We are away for an extended period and will be back early July.  We hope our new shipment of baskets won’t be too much after us in August. Follow our instagram or facebook page for tidbits of our travels. We have a full unpack of the house after the renovations and mountains of indoors and outdoor jobs to do.

Our online store will be operating while we are away, but we won’t be able to process wholesale orders.

Wholesales

For wholesales and our stockists. We will be attending Life Instyle Melbourne at the end of July.

Baskets of the Month

You can’t beat a classic!  Our classic market basket it just that.  A perfect size for market shopping or a weekend away. The basket has a woven base for additional strength and stability. The thick leather handles are comfy and perfect to pop over the shoulders. What is not to like.  Click to this and other  baskets https://2ducktrading.com.au/product/classic-market-basket-with-thick-long-handles/

Markets

We are at Carriageworks Farmer Markets Saturday 9th July. To celebrate our trip to France we are having another warehouse sale. There will be great reductions on all baskets.  We will return to the market 23rd July.

Find us  Saturday 9th April at Cambridge Markets EQ from 8am to 2pm.  We will return Saturday 16th July.

Le Marche – Willoughby will be our last market until July will be on Sunday 10th April.   We return Sunday 10th July just in time to celebrate Bastille day and the Fête Nationale.

October JOY!

The real joy- a  huge bunch of roses! That is what the announcement today of the new roadmap is like!  We can now start planning to  come back to markets and the few end of year events that are still left on our calendar.  Whilst the arrival of our new container has keep us quite busy and we have had a record month online too, it will be so great to see all our lovely clients at the markets come mid October.

Wholesale

Wholesales in September have been very steady. We have been so fortunate that many hamper companies and patisseries have been ordering baskets for gift giving.  It has been a beautiful thing seeing our baskets filled with food, flowers, bottles of bubbles to sharing the love during the lockdown.  We do, of course, have plenty of stock for all our wonderful stockists, so don’t delay in placing your orders.  For new customers just drop us a request for the wholesale code –  https://2ducktrading.com.au/contact-2duck/

Baskets of the Month

Here is another of our newish styles. We had a few last year to try out, but they sold out before we could get them online. A great variation on our most popular double handle basket, this style features a comfy short handle and a long strap handle. Best of both worlds! A brilliant everyday tote, market and beach basket.  https://2ducktrading.com.au/product/mixed-handle-basket/ So pop over to the shop for this one or any one of our other great baskets.

Markets

We are delight to announce we will be at Carriageworks Farmers market Saturday 9th October. This will be such a celebration and we promise to have a big warehouse sale in honour of the first trading day back!! There after we will be there every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. Open from 8am.

Thrilled to let you know we will be back at Cambridge markets EQ on Saturday 16th October and there after every Saturday.  So pleased as we will have all our wonderful baskets but a super sized new shipment of raffia hats and all our other goodies.

All of the markets have been operating in a Covid safe way during the lockdown and will continue to trade with what ever restrictions are in place.

Sadly many of the festivals and events that book mark our year are no longer going ahead. We love our trips to the country – CMRI Wagga Wagga, or up to Wahroonga for the annual fair.  We do have hopes for the Popped up in Kimo market in Gundagai  https://www.facebook.com/Popped-Up-At-Kimo-193519707365371  We will keep you posted.  We really look forward to having these events back next year and a resumption of normal trade.
