Marching along

Wow March already!

 

Already we are into March,  Autumn and the beginning of the change of seasons. Gosh the time goes so quickly.   Please see our update on the goings on with 2 duck trading co this month.    We have all our regular markets plus looking forward to the Burrawang Easter market in early April.  Even though the year moves along quickly,  I am thrilled in one way,  as our trip to France and our little French house comes so much closer.   Carriageworks Farmer Markets –  find us in March on Saturdays 4th and 18th.  Carriageworks Farmers  market  is open every Saturday from 8am to  1pm.Cambridge markets EQ  We are back to the markets every Saturday in March. We have our full range of baskets, St James tops, linens and more. The market is from 8am to 2pm.

We will be away on March 18th due to the fabulous Ministry of Sound event on the Showing that day. Making way for music.

 Quays Quarter Lane Market  Custom House Quay,  this market will be back March 8th from 8am to 2pm.

 

Le Marche – Willoughby The best little French market on the North Shore. Come to see us in March on Sunday – 12th and 26th March.  We will have all our favourite baskets, St James tops and great table linens.

Events coming up

February update

 

As we get the year back into full swing,  it is nice to start with a celebration of love – Valentine’s Day.  We have so many baskets that can express that love too. January 2023

We have rolled into 2023, full of promise and with plenty to look forward too. We have so much on the ahead of us both personally and professionally. It is always a delight to have things to look forward too.

Markets are not back for us until the 21st January. Then we will be fully underway until late April when we take another trip to our beloved little house in France.  Online sales are still open and we are posting every other day. Still trying to keep that holiday vibe while we can.

December festive update

Online shop:

Our online shop will be open right through Xmas and New Year and we will post on days that the Post offices are open.  Probably Wednesday or Thursday 28th  or 29th December and then after the New Year holidays.

 

Wholesale orders:

Need a top up of baskets. No worry! We  will be processing wholesale orders after New Year when Aramex start deliveries up again.   We will be closed for the public holidays.  Need to save up those holiday days for another trip to France later in the year.

December news.

 

Well I won’t pretend it has been an easy start to December  – didn’t plan on getting Covid to slow us down. It was such a disappointment to miss a few markets especially Wahroonga Xmas fair.  However we are on the road to recovery and will be back at the markets this coming weekend. There is still plenty of times to catch up with us until Xmas and the holiday season. For all our events and markets see the info below.

We will be posting baskets online right through the holiday season too.  If the Post office is open then, we will post.

For those who haven’t ordered it is not too late to do so.  We are packing orders most days and do our best to get them out as quickly as we can. Wow it’s nearly November!

Incredible, it is nearly November where has this year gone???

We are in the last few days of October so first thing to say is Happy Birthday to us at 2 duck trading co – we are 15 years old!! It was a quite a life changing moment when we took over 2 duck trading co from Chris and Tessa back in 2007 fitting in perfectly with our French inspired ethos and it has lead to amazing adventures to France and Morocco plus a wonderful time building our wee business here in Sydney. We have meet so many people, made life long friends and feel just as passionate about our wonderful market baskets as we did at the beginning.

  Carriageworks Farmer Markets –  We are at Carriageworks every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.  For November this is the 5th and 19th November. From 8am til 1 pm.

Cambridge markets  will also be holding the;

Quays Quarter Lane Market  Loftus Lane  and  we will also be attending the inaugural market on 9th November from 8am to 2pm.

Plumer Road Fair in Rose Bay is back on 20 November, Plumer Road from 10 to 4pm. A very small and select little market in the Plumer Road shopping precinct.

 

Le Marche – Willoughby  This is another big month for Le Marche. We have the regular Sunday market on Sunday 13th and 27th November at Laurelbank House in Willoughby,  plus we will have our fantastic Christmas Twilight market on Friday 18th November at the central courtyard of Macquarie Uni Campus. Plenty of space, parking for this great event.

Popped Up at Kimo 

We are back at the Kimo Estate just out from Gundagai,  for this beautiful event – Popped Up at Kimo from 10-3pm. It will be a fantastic collection of beautiful small businesses and artisans showcasing their wares for a great cause. So happy to be going back to this event.

October from 2 duck

Update we take delivery of baskets  on 13th October and dispatching of orders will start as quickly as we can after that.

After the joy and excitement of our new shipments early arrival,  we have been stymied by the Australian Quarantine service and are still waiting for the baskets to clear,  4 weeks after the shipment landed in Sydney. This has been so heartbreaking as they arrived to Australia so quickly and we were thrilled to begin dispatching the orders. After all the stress there is nothing for it but to take a little break and be ready to work doubly hard when the baskets finally are delivered.

For wholesale orders we will be processing all orders as quickly as we can once the stock has arrived. We are now estimating mid October. Will probably turn into genuine baskets cases in the process.

For all online orders  we will be be sending all the orders we can out from 12th October.

  Carriageworks Farmer Markets –  We have changed our days at the market and will be coming to Carriageworks every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.  For October are away 1st Oct back on the 15th October.

CMRI Wagga Wagga Christmas Fair

We are delighted to be able to head back down to Wagga Wagga for the annual CMRI Xmas fair. It has been too long!!  Find us at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club Friday and Saturday 21st and 22nd October.

September at 2 duck

Yippee September means Spring and hopefully some beautiful warm and sunny basket weather.  Please find our full update on September for 2 duck trading co.

We are delighted that our new baskets will be here any day now, so we can celebrate the beginning of Spring.  It is always a joy when we have new stock and styles available for you.  We also have lots of events and special markets coming up this month too.  Plenty of places to find us and get a basket, raffia hat or a St James top.

Stock update for 2 duck

We are happy dancing at 2 duck as have just had a stock update re our new container!!  It will be earlier than initially expected.

The shipment has left Singapore so we can reasonably hope to have our new stock by mid September. It will be wonderful to have so many of our favourite styles back in stock. Plus we have a few new ones too. We can’t wait to have our love heart basket as well!

 

This weekend in preparation for the new shipment we have a 2nds and clearance sale at Carriageworks Farmers market.  Saturday 20 August  only from 8am to 1pm. Lots of classic shaped baskets plus some  super XL ones we don’t often bring to the market. Be quick, that last sale was a sell out.
