Upcoming events – Easter Saturday market

Burrawang Easter Market – on Saturday 15th April in the streets of the delightful Burrawang village in the Southern Highlands. 2 duck will be in our traditional spot just across from the pub. With lots of baskets, St James tee shirts and great table linens.

Autumn is coming!

Wow after such a full on summer it is lovely to have some relief from the heat. Perfect for our wonderful St James tops.

Made in France from lovely light weight cotton they perfect for the coming demi season. We have several styles; the 3/4 sleeve Galathee style specially for woman in white and navy or white with red stripes. Or the long sleeve unisex style Minquier. We also have a range for kids in the long sleeve Minquier style. So French!! So perfect.

Basket of the Month

As the weather turns rustic so too do our lovely baskets. This is a beauty – made of leaves of the dwarf palm tree and woven in a rustic style. This basket has a larger woven oval base and leather trim and long leather handles and a greener look to the palm leaf. Markets for March

Moore Park Produce market every Wednesday and Saturday from 8am to 2pm in the Showring

We are now at the the 2nd and 4th Saturday‘s of the month. 11th and 25th March at the Carriageworks Precinct from 8am to 1pm.

2 duck will be at Northside Produce market Saturday 18th March from 8am to midday.

New Market!!!!

For Goodness Sake Fair Farmers market at Royal Randwick Racecourse. It’s on every Sunday from 8 -3 pm. Starting Sunday 19th March.

2 duck is joining and we will be there Sunday 19th and 26th March.

February is for lovers!!

The school went back this week and life slowly gets back to normal. Luckily the warm weather continues and it is so great to get out for the occasional swim. We always take a basket.

La fête d’amour Valentines day is nearly upon us!!

What better way to show some love and do it with a beautiful basket. We have a few options of you. Don’t forget our lovely St James tee shirt too.

Or maybe it is a little something gastronomic!! We have delicious foie gras, duck confit or fantastic pates available @mooreparkproductmarket on Wednesday or Saturday for any romantic tête à tête.

Markets for February

Every Wednesday and Saturday we are at Moore Park Produce market from 8am to 2pm. You can find us in the showring at the Entertainment Quarter. We have all our baskets, great French linens, stripy St James tee shirts, fine French food and so much more.

NB: Exceptionally we are away Saturday 3rd of February.

This month we are at Carriageworks Farmer market – Saturdays 11th and 25th of Feb. Open from 8am to 1pm we have baskets only at this market.

We will be at Northside Produce market Saturday 18th February. From 8am to midday. For baskets and lovely French linens.

Holiday time!!

We love January – it is time to take a break, head to the beach with a basket (of course) and catch up on all the admin and stock taking that we couldn’t do before Christmas.

We will be back at the markets later in January so if you want a basket our online shop is the way to go!! Also a reminder that we have our fantastic St James tee shirts available on line. The 3/4 sleeve galathee top is perfect for summer evenings. Made of amazing light cotton they are wear so well. Available in white and red stripes too.

Voila our lovely short handle classic basket! Perfect for everything – the beach, shopping, picnics. A medium sized basket with a thick, comfy short leather handle. This one and more is available over on the My Shop page.

Markets for January

We start back on Wednesday 25th January – just in time to pick up some gourmandise before Australia Day.

Our first Saturday back is 28th January. From 8am to 1pm – Wilson street Darlington. We have a new market cycle this year @ Carriageworks we will be there every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.

Count down til Christmas

Ho Ho Hello there

We are in the final days before Christmas – we have been posting every day and will do so until Thursday 22nd Dec (no promises baskets will arrive if they are out of state though).

We have 2 final markets this week:

Moore Park Christmas market Wednesday 21st Dec 8am to 2pm in the Showring.

Carriageworks Christmas Market Friday night 23rd Dec @ Carriageworks 4pm to 9pm. For last minute food and gift shopping.

In the meantime we are Popped up in Paddington @frenchclass for Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Then we will be taking a break but still posting online orders of course.

We have arrived at December and the final month of the year!!

We still have lots of markets, some great events and one more pop up shop for the year to come. Plenty of baskets, St James teeshirts online too.

Online orders – we are posting everyday at the moment and will make every effort to get parcels out as quickly as possible.

Moore Park Produce market every Wednesday and Saturday of December until the Xmas market on Wednesday 21st Dec. Market then re opening on Wednesday 11th January. We have a great range of French gourmet foods available at the market for the festive season and will be taking orders for foie gras, duck confit, snails. Call 0404259986 to order.

Carriageworks Farmers market

Saturday 3rd and 10th December from 8am to 1pm. For baskets only.

Carriageworks Christmas market Friday 23rd Dec from 4pm to 9pm for all the last minute Xmas shopping food, gifts, and more. We will have baskets, table linen….

Northside Produce market

We will be there Saturday 17th from 8am to midday for the final market of the year at Northside.

Wahroonga Street fair

Sunday 4th December in the Wahroonga shopping village. We are in our usual spot just on the corner of Redleaf and Railway Ave. Open from 10 to 4pm this is a fantastic annual shopping day.

Sydney Living Museum Hyde Park Barracks Christmas fair

Thursday 14th December at the Hyde Park Barracks from 4 to 8pm for foodie gifts and 2 duck wares and so much more.

Hard to Find & House and Garden Christmas market

Sunday 18th December at the Entertainment Quarter Moore Park – 10 to 5pm.

So many opportunities to shop before the holiday season.

They have arrived!!

After a wait of more that a the normal few months the new container of baskets has arrived. Not even giant African snails could hold them back.

We have lots of new styles and plenty of favourite back in stock with more coming onto the shop in the coming days. So great having all the variety back.

New Shipment

We are so excited – our new shipment arrives next week. All our favourite baskets will be back in stock and some cool new styles too. It is always like Christmas opening the container and unpacking the stock. Keep an eye on the website as those out of stocks are replaced!

You can find us every Wednesday and Saturday in October from 8am to 2pm in the Showring at the Entertainment Quarter Moore Park.

Saturday 1st and 29th October from 8am to 1pm at the Carriageworks Precinct Wilson Street.

North Sydney Produce market Saturday 15th October from 8am to midday, on Miller Street. 2 duck is there every 3rd Saturday with all our fabulous wares.

Plus the Street Food and Produce market Thursday 6th and 27th October from 8am to 2pm – we are joining the street vibe for the Good Food Month markets.

Fairs and Festivals

CMRI Wagga Wagga Christmas Fair at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club, Wagga Wagga 21 and 22 October.

Our chance to get out on the road and visit the Riverina. We will be bringing our fantastic new baskets, table linens, St James tee shirts, raffia hats and more ..

Woollahra Public School Trick or Treat harvest fair Sunday 30th October 10am to 3pm.

One for the diary: Double Bay Street Festival – Sunday 6th November 10am to 3pm.

September – Spring!!

September marks the beginning of the Spring fairs and the advent of good weather! We love it at 2 duck!! We are also waiting for our new shipment and will have lots of great new baskets coming plus all of our favourite classics. More info to come. Also as many of you know I love vintage French linen and always bring some back from France. We are having one of the first pop up shops for 2016 in September too. So busy busy busy.

What better way to kick of this post with a sale!! As we wait for the new shipment to arrive we need to make space in the warehouse. So from now until end of September all classic double handle baskets and classic leather trim baskets are reduced.

Off to France

Time for our annual pilgrimage to France. This little house needs some more love and attention. We are back from France mid July but all our online sales are still operational in our absence. We will be collecting more vintage linen and checking out all the latest trends. Follow us on Instagram for our adventures.
