They have arrived!!

After a wait of more that a the normal few months the new container of baskets has arrived. Not even giant African snails could hold them back.

We have lots of new styles and plenty of favourite back in stock with more coming onto the shop in the coming days. So great having all the variety back.

We are so excited – our new shipment arrives next week. All our favourite baskets will be back in stock and some cool new styles too. It is always like Christmas opening the container and unpacking the stock. Keep an eye on the website as those out of stocks are replaced!

You can find us every Wednesday and Saturday in October from 8am to 2pm in the Showring at the Entertainment Quarter Moore Park.

Saturday 1st and 29th October from 8am to 1pm at the Carriageworks Precinct Wilson Street.

North Sydney Produce market Saturday 15th October from 8am to midday, on Miller Street. 2 duck is there every 3rd Saturday with all our fabulous wares.

Plus the Street Food and Produce market Thursday 6th and 27th October from 8am to 2pm – we are joining the street vibe for the Good Food Month markets.

Fairs and Festivals

CMRI Wagga Wagga Christmas Fair at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club, Wagga Wagga 21 and 22 October.

Our chance to get out on the road and visit the Riverina. We will be bringing our fantastic new baskets, table linens, St James tee shirts, raffia hats and more ..

Woollahra Public School Trick or Treat harvest fair Sunday 30th October 10am to 3pm.

One for the diary: Double Bay Street Festival – Sunday 6th November 10am to 3pm.

September – Spring!!

September marks the beginning of the Spring fairs and the advent of good weather! We love it at 2 duck!! We are also waiting for our new shipment and will have lots of great new baskets coming plus all of our favourite classics. More info to come. Also as many of you know I love vintage French linen and always bring some back from France. We are having one of the first pop up shops for 2016 in September too. So busy busy busy.

This year I have bought a lovely selection vintage French linen from Drome and Ardeche. Beautiful night dresses, embroidered sheets and pillow cases, white tablecloths & matching napkins, tea towels, bed covers and much more.

We are back from France and right into everything!

Next week 2 duck trading co heads to Melbourne for the Life Instyle trade fair – Back to the Source. What could be more back to the source than 2 duck and our fantastic, natural and sustainable baskets. We are delighted to be showcasing our new Spring and Summer collection next week. Lots of old favourites plus some very new styles. Find us in the beautiful Royal Exhibition building Carlton in the Life Instyle section stand 1554 from Thursday 4-7 August.

Basket of the Month – Bucket basket

Round like a bucket, deep but very practical the bucket basket come in 3 styles – baby, medium and medium with a leather trim. All with a long leather handles. Visit our shop page for these and all our other baskets.

Off to France

Time for our annual pilgrimage to France. This little house needs some more love and attention. We are back from France mid July but all our online sales are still operational in our absence. We will be collecting more vintage linen and checking out all the latest trends. Follow us on Instagram for our adventures.

Every where in France in May is the mois du Muguet – the festival of the Lily of the Valley. It heralds the beginning of spring and is one of my favourite traditions in France – everyone gives you a bouquet of muguet as gift of good luck. We will be in France from mid June for a few weeks and and so look forward to getting back in touch with these charming traditions.

After the busyness of February and the trade fair we are back to our markets and planning for events and preparing for our next shipment.

Basket of the Month

The baskets with leather trim and thick comfy handles are amongst the strongest and most durable in our range. This basket adds rustic charm to the classic style. Woven in the rarer dwarf palm tree leaf it has a rougher and more raw look. Made in the western part of Morocco nearer the coast it reflects the traditions of that area. Burrawang Easter fair

Easter Saturday – 26th March in the main street of Burrawang – Southern Highlands for a full street fair. 2 duck is in our usual spot just across from the iconic Burrawang Hotel. See you there!!

The market tales

Unfortunately due to some difficulties between the local community and Marrickville Council this event has been postponed!! Until later in the year. Such a shame as we visited the Precinct and thought it would be fantastic.

2016 here we come!!

Markets are open again from this week and we are back from holiday ready to go.

EQ Village markets opens Wednesday 13th January.
